The standard path to becoming an intacs® Certified Provisional Assessor (Automotive SPICE®) begins with training as an intacs® Certified Process Expert (Automotive SPICE®). This initial phase focuses on the interpretation of Automotive SPICE® processes, which are essential for conducting assessments and implementing process improvements in system and software engineering. The second Phase is the intacs® Certified Provisional Assessor (Automotive SPICE®) training, where you will gain valuable knowledge and insights to support a certified Competent Assessor as a co-assessor during assessments in your own company or with suppliers.
The goal of this combined training is to complete both courses in one go, allowing you to become an intacs® Certified Provisional Assessor (Automotive SPICE®) more quickly. The requirements for both certifications remain the same; therefore, participants will be given some assignments to present during the second part of the training. Active participation throughout the entire training is key to success.

Contents

  • Presentation of the Automotive SPICE® v4.0 reference model
  • Understanding the motivations for enhancing software development processes
  • Overview of the ISO 330xx Standard series and the Automotive SPICE® v4.0 model
  • Analysis of the process dimension within the assessment model
  • Analysis of the capability dimension within the assessment model
  • Comprehensive understanding of the processes in the « recommended Assessment Scope » for system and software Levels
  • Experience serving as a Co-Assessor in Automotive SPICE® assessments
  • Initial exposure to planning, executing, and documenting assessments
  • Phrasing assessment findings and reports
  • Interview and note taking techniques
  • Certification as an intacs®-certified Automotive SPICE® Provisional Assessor

The trainer organizes the training flexibly within his time frame to respond to the participants’ special wishes and requirements. The implementation is varied, with exercises and the trainer’s various examples and experiences.

Target Group

  • People who are planning to become certified assessors (Note: Certification as an intacs® Certified Provisional Assessor Automotive SPICE® is the prerequisite for taking the next step to become an intacs® Certified Competent Assessor Automotive SPICE®).
  • Anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of the Automotive SPICE® model.

Prerequisites

Participants should have several years of professional experience in the automotive industry (e.g. software/system development, project management, quality management or similar).

Examination

  • Examination fees will be added to the price of participation in the examination.
  • The VDA QMC conducts the examination. Zoom software is used for online examinations, and a webcam is mandatory.
  • After a successful examination, the participant must actively apply to the VDA for certification. This additional step is carried out independently of the training.
  • The fees published on the VDA-QMC website apply for the examination and certification.

Further Information

  • The trainers for this course are exclusively experienced Automotive SPICE® Instructors who have extensive experience in conducting assessments according to Automotive SPICE®.
  • The course materials are available in English.
  • Each participant will receive documentation and a certificate of attendance.
  • The price includes a SynSpace Pocket Guide Automotive SPICE® v4.0
  • If the course is conducted online, the documents and the pocket guide will be made available digitally.
